GlucoModicum has conducted a broad, multi-site medical device development program with Phillips-Medisize to advance Sofio’s needle-free glucose monitoring system.
The collaboration covered core areas of medical device development, including usability and human-factors engineering, regulatory preparedness, and the design of processes supporting high-volume manufacturing. Work was carried out across Phillips-Medisize facilities in both the United States and Europe, supported by global supply-chain preparations and extensive usability studies in both regions.
During the early development phase, the Sofio program operated under the internal project codename “Talisman”, which was used throughout the collaborative work with Phillips-Medisize. With the product now publicly revealed, the program is referred to by its finalized brand name: Sofio.
